Keeping it Kardashian with Faux Fur

As soon as I first put on this black faux fur coat from Lookbook Store, I immediately felt like Kourtney Kardashian (and then instantly fell in love, because she is one of my favorite style icons). Being a vegetarian for over fourteen years, I am an animal advocate and do not support wearing real fur, but I am always excited to find a great animal-friendly look alike. This coat is so soft and warm, and even though the weather is still relatively warm in SoCal, I can never say no to a gorgeous faux fur.

Cozy in Tribal

Last week I received two amazing pieces of outwear just in time for fall. My good friend Jessica Trinh, who also happens to be a super talented photographer, joined me at Central Park to take a few shots of my check out oversized blazer from Lookbook Store. I was so excited for this look because the loose oversized fit is super comfy and casual, but it still has the streamlined, structured feel of a blazer. Plus, who doesn’t love pockets?! Don’t forget to follow Jessica on Instagram and Facebook for adorable pictures of her three puppies!

Lookbook Store: Autumn Outerwear

DSC_0381 DSC_0382As I mentioned before in my Hello October post, this month is a time of new opportunities and collaborations. Recently I discovered lookbookstore.co, an online boutique that carries fashionable clothes and accessories at reasonable prices. They began selling vintage clothes off of eBay in 2009 and quickly grew their business into the brand they are today. One of the things I love is that they have so many unique options and variety, from summer dresses to warm knit sweaters.

I was so excited when I received the package containing my Black Faux Fur Coat and Check Out Oversized Blazer in Apricot from Lookbook Store, and just in time for the cooler weather! Stay tuned to see how I style them coming up next week 🙂

Favorite Fall Nail Colors

Nail polish is the best way to accessorize and complete any outfit. If you follow my blog, you know that I am a bit of a polish junkie- I’m always changing colors and experimenting with sparkle, stickers, gel, and nail art. Recently I went through my collection and picked up a few new shades, so I thought I’d share with you my favorite colors polish for this fall!DSC_0239

DSC_0237DSC_0236 DSC_0216Essie Cocktails and Coconuts | Revlon Alluring Amber | OPI Jade is the New Black | Nailtini Caviar Cocktail }

I would have to say that Essie’s Cocktails and Coconut polish is my favorite, first of all because the name is absolutely adorable, and second the warm sand color is a great neutral that goes with anything. Alluring Amber and Jade is the New Black are great bright colors that will make a statement, while Caviar Cocktail has a great metallic shine that adds a subtle sparkle.

Which nail color is your favorite? Which polish will you be rocking this fall season?

Houndstooth + a Splash of Plum

DSC_0263

As a petite fashion blogger, I often struggle to find cute clothing that actually fits me. When I shop in women’s, the hems are six inches too long, shirts are loose in the chest area, and clothes are just overall baggy- but if I shop in the children’s section, the garments don’t really fit my curves right either. It is hard to find a good brand that will consistently fit to your unique figure and not just the usual 5’9 model fit.

When I learned about eShakti, a website where you can customize any garment to your specific height, size, and style from 0-36W, I knew I had to check it out. Whether you’re tall, curvy, athletic, or petite sized like me, eShakti has the option for custom measurements to fit any body type. I have been looking for a great patterned skirt for fall that I can transition from work to dinner. This adorable houndstooth number was the perfect combination of what I wanted! After entering in all my measurements, I opted for a just above the knee length under custom styling. Being able to completely customize my garment was a totally new, but awesome experience. It’s such a cool option for us petite ladies to have, and it made sure that the skirt would fit me perfectly!

Falling Into Fall with Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos

As of yesterday, it’s officially fall season! My sister and I decided to celebrate with some pumpkin spice frappuccinos from Starbucks. I was really craving some pumpkin cupcakes, but unfortunately the cupcakeries near my house don’t start making them until October 😦 Although it’s still pretty warm here in the OC, I put on my favorite pair of thrifted Steve Madden booties, high waisted denim, and short sleeved sweater and embraced the beginning of autumn.

I have a few upcoming collaborations with some awesome brands, so stay tuned! Want to know some of my favorite accessories for fall? Check out my newest post on TNT Tauna!

Weekly Recap: Style Week OC 2014

Who needs NYFW when you have Style Week OC? Every year in September Orange County has fashion shows at Fashion Island and Irvine Spectrum Center showcasing the latest fall fashions and FIDM designers. These last two weekends I have been working backstage, experiencing the craziness, and getting super excited for fall!

Last week the first two shows were at Fashion Island. There were in-store events for the participating brands in the fashion show earlier, and then on Saturday night FIDM had their benefit show.

The first show at the Spectrum featured different brands from around the shopping center. During the second show Saturday night, Nick Verreos from Project Runway and Under the Gunn showed off his new Nikolaki collection and four FIDM designers were featured in the Celebrity Cruises design competition.

Cropped + Plaid in Pasadena

Good morning loves! Seeing One Direction last week was so much fun, I just wanted to share a few more pictures with you all of what Ema and I wore to the concert. We both opted for crop tops and skater skirts because it was just too hot to wear anything else! (She let me borrow her plaid skirt because as usual, I couldn’t find anything to wear.) DSC_0087 DSC_0048DSC_0050DSC_0054DSC_0076DSC_0070DSC_0056DSC_0085
